UNCG Spartans – Isabelle Collazo

Diversity and excellence prepared the way

A few years after graduation, Isabelle has achieved her goal. As a high school dance teacher, Collazo believes in studying dance from a holistic perspective, which means she teaches her students about body confidence, culture, and history in addition to technique. UNCG prepared her well for this kind of teaching. 

“The dance faculty at UNCG is so diverse and they represent so many different aspects of the field of dance,” she said. “I feel like that really pushed me to be the best I can be in multiple areas of dance.”
